Experience the beauty and elegance of harp and classical
guitar music
The Williams Duo has performed throughout
the Greater Delaware Valley for more than 25 years, playing in concert halls,
churches, private homes, hotels, country clubs, and festivals. They recently
performed at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg. While primarily
a classical ensemble, these two experienced concert soloists have developed an
extensive repertoire that includes classical and popular music.
Sarajane Williams began piano lessons at
an early age and studied harp for fifteen years with Dorothy Knauss of
Allentown (a student of Marcel Grandjany and Alfred Holy). She performs as a
soloist and with her husband Ted in the Williams Duo. Sarajane is a
signed recording artist and has released six CDs. A 2007 performance in Galway,
Ireland marked the release of her CD "In
Brigit's Garden". A composer and arranger, her music has been
published by Mel Bay Publications. Sarajane is also a licensed
Psychologist and a pioneer in the field of harp therapy. She has authored
several books and DVDs that are used by various harp therapy training programs.
Ted Williams has been called “a first rate
classical guitarist with masterful ability” by the Express-Times. He has
toured internationally, and has been a featured soloist with the Concerto
Soloists of Philadelphia. “Deft Performance By Guitarist Leaves Crowd
Breathless” - Morning Call. “Pennsylvania Virtuoso” - Philadelphia
Classical Guitar Society. “…a totally super player with great tone and
super technique.” - New York City Classical Guitar Society.
Both dedicated teachers, Sarajane
is an adjunct faculty member at Cedar Crest College, and Ted is a former
faculty member at Temple University College of Music. They currently
operate the Macungie Music Studios, and both have taught students who have
won prizes in important music competitions.
